Ever since my dad taught us what it meant for us to be priests unto the Lord, ministering to Him with ourthanksgiving, praise, and worship, I haveembraced this as a primary purpose for mylife. Every time I read in Scripture that thereare people ministering to Him and thenthere’s a response from Heaven, I get excited.
Truth by nature is the transforming power of God to instill freedom in the life of those who embrace it. It could be said that freedom exists in a person’s life to the degree he embraces truth from the heart. It’s more than a mental agreement to a concept called truth. It is the heartfelt yes to a way of life. That way of life becomes measureable in our lifestyle of freedom.
The Church has largely replaced the Gospel of the Kingdom with the Gospel of salvation. It’s the beauty of the salvation message that makes it so easy to miss the fact that it is only a part of the whole message that Jesus gave us. The Gospel of salvation is focused on getting people saved and going to Heaven. The Gospel of the Kingdom is focused on the transformation of lives, cities, and nations through the effect of God’s present rule—this is made manifest by bringing the reality of Heaven to earth.
